3D Animation and Arch Viz

We've had the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting 3D animation projects over the years. These videos represent a few highlights during my time at Fehr and Peers, Heartwood Studios, and some freelance work.

Dallas Cowboys Stadium: (w/ Heartwood Studios) Credits: Storyboards, Autocad file cleanup, camera animation within 3D Studio Max, final editing with Final Cut Pro. After Effects for some additional visual effects. (No audio) Dust Engine: (w/ Heartwood Studios) Credits: Storyboards, camera animation within 3D Studio Max, final editing with Final Cut Pro. After Effects for some additional visual effects. (No audio)
Monarch Condominiums: (w/ Heartwood Studios) Credits: Storyboards, Autocad file cleanup, camera animation within 3D Studio Max, final editing with Final Cut Pro. After Effects for some additional visual effects.
Flood Animations: The purpose of these animations was to demonstrate the affects of a dam break. There was one month turnaround for this project. A total of 16 animations were created. The client provided the photo stills and I created the animation on top of the photos using Apple Motion. Note: none of these animations have audio.

Note: Traffic Scenario1 has no audio.

Note: Traffic Scenario2 does have audio.

Traffic Animations: (for Fehr and Peers) This was a “proof of concept” project. We imported traffic data acquired from a traffic analyzation application into a custom built Lightwave script. The script randomly attached vehicles from a library of lo-res Dosch vehicles into Lightwave 3D. Scenario1 was from an intersection in Roseville. Scenario2 is from an intersection on Broadway near Jack London Square in Oakland.
Render Gallery (w/ Heartwood Studios) Above is a collection of renders from my time as Accounts Manager/Creative Director at Heartwood Studios. My role in producing these renders were to work with clients and provide them with a final product that best represented their vision. I would take their AutoCad plans for initial clean up, and then create a layout and graphic instructions for our outstanding team of modelers and animators in Argentina. I worked with our clients to pick out textures and accessories. I would also provide our team with final camera placement within the 3d environment and provide lighting instructions.
