EditEd4TV's "Understanding Thor" DVD video

If you've come here looking for the free stuff, or if you've come here from the PUF (Propellerhead User Forum) looking for a file Ed has just created for you, click here to check out ReasonFiles, a directory of helpful Reason .rns files, Combinator patches, and more. The list is sorted by date, latest stuff on top, so look for new things right at the head of the list.

On September 26th, 2007, Propellerhead Software released Reason Version 4.0, which includes the much anticipated Thor Polysonic Synthesizer. The key to creating patches and using Thor is to fully understand every aspect, every parameter, every knob and slider and button. "Understanding Thor" takes you through all sides of Thor: from top to bottom, left to right, front to back... you'll be hard-pressed to find a more thorough explanation of all that Thor can do.

This Region 1 NTSC DVD begins with the Controller Panel, explaining everything you need to know from the left side pitch wheel to the right side volume knob. But the heart of Thor is the Programmer Panel, where the bulk of the DVD covers all the synth parameters: all 6 oscillator types, all 4 filter types, default audio routing, lfo's, envelope generators, effects, and more. Below the voice and global sections is Thor's overly-powerful Modulation Bus Routing Section, where an exhaustive collection of source and destination locations can be interconnected to your heart's content. Lastly, we cover the step sequencer, and back panel connections.

As this project is still currently (August 2008) in production, it is possible that the content may span across two DVD discs. Not to worry, the price remains the same no matter what happens during the content editing phase of this/these discs. Also under research; translation into PAL format, and possibly sections/chapters of the DVD content available online for purchase as small .mov files.
